Early Papier-Mache doll with elegant features and black pupil-less glass eyes. Her hair is styled in a classic Queen Victoria chignon with gentle tendrils painted in graceful waves along the temples then following the loops over the ears.

She has been dressed in a scarlet ensemble edged in crème lace at the bosom with a full crimson waffle weave wool skirt.

Her arms are kid leather with separate fingers. Her torso is also firm stuffed leather while her legs are twill over wood and she wears flat leather slippers. She’s in generally wonderful condition for her age although, she does have some crazing in the papier-mache behind her neck, oftentimes seen in these rare dolls. It’s estimated this beautiful Doll is circa 1840+/-
