Collectors seek a Gigoteur with a working mechanism, beauty and originality. This 18” example is all of that! Although the 1880s mechanism is somewhat slow, and care must be taken not over wind, this is truly a special Bébé that has long been part of a cherished collection. I am mesmerized by the beauty of her crisply modeled face… So much expressiveness and brilliant blue spiral eyes. 
Her costume is clearly original, and although sturdy enough, minor frailty in areas.
